In spite of his failure in last season, Gujarat Titans retained Mohit Sharma ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Being an impact player for Gujarat Titans this season, Mohit Sharma showcased a decent performance with the ball in his first two games played against Mumbai Indians and CSK.

In his first match of the season against Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad, Mohit bowled 4 overs and bagged a couple of wickets at an economy of 8.00. In Gujarat Titans’ second game against CSK in Chepauk, Mohit bagged just one wicket at an economy of 9.00.

In GT’s third game against SRH, Mohit Sharma proved himself as a death-over specialist by bowling an impressive final over. In his final over against SRH, Mohit Sharma bagged 3 wickets and gave only 3 runs.

Following his dismissal, Noor Ahmad dismissed Head for 19 runs and gave the pleasure of dismissing the dangerous batter for GT. Right after the Head’s wicket, SRH batters struggled to build a partnership and started to lose their wickets at regular intervals.

Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad each scored 29 runs and remained the highest run scorer for SRH. At the end of 20 overs, SRH scored 162 runs for 8 wickets.
