The Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, has heaped praise on 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi after his 35-ball century in the IPL 2025 game against Gujarat Titans on April 28 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
The Rajasthan Royals opener has registered a match-winning knock, which is also the second-fastest century in the tournament. His superb knock has helped the side to return to winning games, ending their five-match losing streak.
Batting first Gujarat Titans posted a big total of 209/4 in their innings. Shubman Gill scored 84 runs while Buttler posted 50 runs off 26 runs to cross 200 run mark.
Responding to the total, RR openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suryavanshi made an aggressive start posting a 166 run partnership for the first wicket.
He went on to smash 17-ball fifty and 35 ball century and shattered the records of RR batsman Yusuf Pathan for the fastest century by an Indian.
They went on to complete their innings in 16 overs by losing only two wickets. Suryavanshi scored 101 runs in 38 deliveries which included 7 fours and 11 sixes.
After his historic knock, the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to X praising the youngster.

Suryavanshi’s got into the fame last year when the 13-year old scored a 58-ball century for India’s U19 team in a Youth Test match against Australia.
He made his first class debut for Bihar at the age of 12 and has already featured in five Ranji Trophy matches, though he is yet to score a fifty in that format.
Rajasthan Royals has three wins out of 10 games they played in the season so far and secured 8th position in the IPL 2025 Points table.
Rajasthan will play their next match against Mumbai Indians on May 01 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
