Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma Rift: Whenever the camera catches Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma‘s conversation soon the social media starts to floods with news that the duo has a rift.

Incidents like this happen too often in a series that too in recent times the social media starts to flood with imaginary conversations even the duo had a talk on the field.

Though there is no enough evidence regarding their Rift, fans use to create controversies in social media. To put an end to this unwanted quarrel current Indian head coach Ravi Shastri comes forward and breaks the truth.

Ravi Shastri on Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma Rift

In an interaction with Times Now, head coach Ravi Shastri opened up on the reports of the alleged rift between Kohli and Rohit. Shastri asserted that there was never any rift between the two-star cricketers.

“I never saw it. So when people used to ask me like this, I say what you have seen I have not seen. Hamesha taalmel acha hai (the co-ordination has always been there). I have never seen it affecting the team. If I see an effect in the team, I will say on Virat or Rohit’s face that this is not on and you have to look at things differently. But not once have I seen it impacting the team from day 1. I am a person who says what I want,” Shastri told Times Now.

In 2019, Kohli was also asked about the alleged rift and he had vehemently rejected such claims.

“I too have heard a lot. Dressing room atmosphere is important to succeed. If this (rumour of the rift) was true, we would not have performed well. It’s ridiculous to read such news. We are overlooking faces. We are turning blind eyes towards good things. It’s disrespectful to bring such news. You’ll come to the changing room and see how we are. We cant show you videos. It baffles you as a team member and the captain,” he had said.

Rohit Sharma Response to the Controversy

India’s white-ball vice-captain Rohit Sharma said that he felt hurt when families were being dragged into things during the alleged ‘rift’ between him and Virat post the ICC World Cup.

“Our families are there to support us, make us feel happy. When all these things were being written about, few of my friends came and told me, and believe me or not, I was just laughing,” Rohit said.

“But then it went on and on and they dragged my family and that was not on. You talk about me but don’t drag my family as they genuinely don’t care about anything else. I think even Virat (Kohli) must have felt the same way as families are an important aspect of our lives,” Rohit added.

The two aggressive cricketers continue to shine in their way where Virat Kohli continues to lead Team India across formats with Rohit’s assistance in white-ball cricket. Rohit has also led Team India in Kohli’s absence.
