The Indian batter Shubman Gill slammed his 8th ODI century during the Champions Trophy 2025 clash against Bangladesh played on February 20 in Dubai.
He slammed back-to-back hundreds with his 7th ODI century coming from the final ODI match against England on the home tour.
He went on to achieve the feat with a single on 125th delivery which included 9 fours and 2 sixes. His slow and steady knock guided the side close to victory.
Having played 50 ODIs, Shubman Gill smashed 2587 runs with a high score of 208 runs at an average of 60.16 and a strike rate of 101.93.
Gill who opened for the side went on to make his stand throughout India’s innings to lead the side to victory in their first Champions Trophy game of the season.

Earlier, Shami Strike twice to dismiss Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan Miraz while Harshit Rana bagged a wicket of Najmul for duck.
Axar Patel removed Tanzid Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim to leave Bangladesh stuttering at 35/5. He made a sensational start to his over in the powerplay of the Champions Trophy 2025.
Jaker Ali was dropped in the very first ball by Rohit Sharma at Slip which denied Axar Patel’s Hattrick. As a result, Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy forged a partnership to find stability in the innings.
However, the men in blues dropped two catches which denied Axar Patel’s Hattrick and Rahul missing a stumping chance. Hardik Pandya dropped Hridoy in the 20th over, and two overs later, KL Rahul missed a stumping chance.
Hridoy and Jaker found their momentum to lead the side in scoreboard. They stitched a 154 run partnership for the sixth wicket. After Shami picked wicket of Jaker Ali for 68 runs, Bangladesh side lost their control and lost the wickets one by one.
However, Towhid Hridoy went on to score his maiden ODI hundred and Shami along with Harshit Rana and Axar Patel scalped 10 wickets.
