The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially approved the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after a series of complaints and counter-complaints against players.

The sports governing board has scheduled hearings for September 2025. The PCB has made a complaint against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for his comments after the IND-PAK match on September 14 in the Asia Cup 2025.

The allegations against Suryakumar Yadav involves ‘making inappropriate comments that bring the game into disrepute’ and the 35 year old has been accused of making provactive statements that are said to have the potential to harm the image of the sport.

Suryakumar Yadav has dedicated India’s win to the Indian armed forces and victims of Pahalgam attack. The incident kick-started a series of dramatic episodes with the Pakistan team over the last 10 days.

Richie Richardson has been officiating most of Pakistan’s games in the Asia Cup except the India fixtures, has been intimated by the ICC to look into the PCB’s complaints on Suryakumar Yadav.

Richardson has already sent an e-mail to the Indian team to inform them over the development. If he accept the charges, he will be liable to punishment but he also has the option of challenging the allegations by appearing for a hearing that will involve Richardson and the representatives of PCB and BCCI.

Meanwhile, BCCI has lodged complaint against Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf to the proactive gestures in the match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s on September 21.

Farhan has made a gunshot celebration after reaching his 50 when he gestured his bat like a gun, which comes after 26 innocent lives at the hands of Pakistan terrorists. On the other hand, Haris Rauf had given a 6-0 gesture to Indian fanst while fielding. This was in reference to Pakistan’s unverified claim of shooting down six fighter jets during Operation Sindoor.

Amid of the ongoing escalations, there is high probability India and Pakistan might face off for the third time in Asia Cup 2025 if Pakistan beat Bangladesh in Super 4s clash at Dubai International Stadium.

In that case it shall be an India vs Pakistan final on September 28 which has never happened before.
