Asia Cup 2025 – IND vs PAK Rivalry (Enfolded Dramas)
India has met Pakistan twice in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, where India secured a dominating victory and is set to face them once again in the finals.
India secured a 7-wicket victory in the group stage games and secured a stunning 6-wicket victory in the Super 4s stage.
The first encounter was mired in controversy following India’s decision to stay away from the customary handshake during the toss and after the contest, which led Pakistan to pull out of their clash against the UAE.
After the game, Suryakumar Yadav said he dedicated the victory to the armed forces and victims of the Pahalgam terror, which has led PCB to make a complaint to ICC.
In the Super Fours clash, there were on-field altercations as Sahibzada Farhan made a gun gesture towards the Indian team dug out and Haris Rauf went on have show unverified Pakistan taking down India’s 6 fighter jets during Operation Sindoor.
This led BCCI to make complaints about the players to the ICC, which the sports governing body had a formal hearing with both sides.
