Jason Roy Scored An Unbeaten 145 Runs

The record-breaking incident takes place on March 8, 2023, in a league match against Peshawar Zalmi. Roy scored an unbeaten 145 runs to take his side to an eight-wicket victory over Zalmi.

The English cricketer earlier also completed a 44-ball century against Peshawar on behalf of the Gladiators, becoming the second-fastest batter to score a century. Roy’s unbeaten 145 off 63 balls was also the highest individual score in PSL history since its first edition.

Roy smashed the sixth T20 hundred of his career – and his highest individual score – as Quetta reeled off the biggest successful run-chase in Pakistan Super League history.

Jason Roy who won the player of the match award for the Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators match says “Just went out there and had some fun. Had to go hard from ball one, on that wicket and with these boundaries, it was a hell of a lot of fun. It was one of those days, it came off, as extremely happy”.

“On pitches like these, you have to play proper shots, very tough for the bowlers. This gives us something to smile about, we have got the players but this tournament we have come up short. Really up there, especially in T20 cricket, it does not happen that often and I will cherish every moment”, he added.
