Andy Flower has left PSL: Multan Sultan head coach Andy Flower has left the Pakistan Super League (PSL) midway and traveled to India to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction.

BCCI decides to host IPL 2022 Mega Auction for the upcoming season right after the inclusion of 2 new IPL teams namely Lucknow Super Giants and Ahmedabad Titans. The Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction is all set to be conducted on February 12 and 13, 2022.

The IPL 2022 mega Auction live streaming will kickstart from 11 AM on February 12. The IPL 2022 mega auction will be a two-day event that will be held in Bengaluru.

Flower will be in India for the two-day mega auction, scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

However, as per reports in Cricket Pakistan, the southpaw will be available virtually and will return to Pakistan on February 13.

The report further states that the reigning champions will be without Flower for at least 10 days and Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup-winning spinner Mushtaq Ahmed and other coaches will be guiding them in his absence.

Furthermore, Andy Flower is expected to resume his duties with Multan Sultans before their reverse fixture clash against the  Karachi Kings on February 16.

The former England head coach Andy Flower, who was part of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) coaching staff in the IPL 2020 and 2021, has been appointed as the head coach of the new Lucknow Super Giants team for the upcoming season of the cash-rich league.

He will be spending at least two days in India as the IPL 2022 mega auction is all set to take place on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru.

Having won all four games so far, Multan Sultans are placed comfortably at the top of the PSL 2022 points table with eight points to their tally and an outstanding net run rate of +0.620. Their next match is against Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday (February 5).
