The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to become a seperate company which will help in managing the affairs more efficiently after the conclusion of the PSL 2025 season.
According to reports, HBL PSL Governing Council meeting was held in Lahore yesterday which lasted 23 minutes. With the PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi presided over the meeting, the PCB officials remained in their offices.
Meanwhile franchise owners and representatives joined via video call. Naqvi shared the news, fulfilling a long standing demand. This move will help in managing affairs more efficiently.
However, before renewing franchise agreements, a company will be hired soon for evaluation, which will also determine the potential price of two new teams.
Additionally, it was revealed that an exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will take place in Peshawar on April 08, allowing the fans to see their favourite stars in action.
It is understood that security clearance and planning for the match are expected to be completed by the weekend.
By the end of the 10 edition of the Pakistan Super League, the existing franchise agreements will expire. The company that will be hired for this task is currently being finalized, and it will also assess the potential price of two new teams in season 11.
The company will be given six weeks to complete the process. During the meeting, the anthem for the 10th edition of PSL is in its final stages. Additionally, there will be no compromise on the TV production quality of the matches.
The production company has been instructed to treat the league as an international event rather than a domestic tournament, ensuring that fans could experience best watch on TV broadcast.
The first match of the Pakistan Super League 2025 will be played between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars on April 11 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
