The wk-batter Rishabh Pant has made a hysterical response to a question on Rohit Sharma’s whereabouts outside the airport as the Indian team left for England on June 05.

India is set to play a five-match test series against England starting on June 20 until the first week of August.

With the team departed for the all-important tour, a fan was seen asking Rishabh Pant about where is Rohit Sharma.

The Indian captain has recently announced his test retirement and henceforth he isn’t part of the squad.

“Where is Rohit bhai?” one paparazzo asked Rishabh Pant. The wk-batter came up with a hilarious reply giving a reference of Rohit’s famous dialogue.

Wo garden me ghoom re hai (He’s walking in the garden),” said Pant in the reply. The fan further goes on to ask Pant, if he would miss the garden. The wicketkeeper replied that yes he will indeed miss the garden.

Rohit Sharma was caught on the stump mic during the Visakhapatnam Test against England in 2024. He was heard criticising his players for not showing enough energy on the field.

After the eventual series win over England, Rohit Sharma uploaded a picture on Instagram with the caption, Garden mein Ghoomne Wale bande.”

In the picture, Rohit was spotted posing for the camera alongside Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from Tests following a disastrous tour of Australia. They failed to create impact with the bat failing to score big runs in the series.

Right ahead of the India’s squad announcement for England tour, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement on their test careers.

Rohit played 67 Tests, while Virat Kohli represented the country in 123 matches. Shubman Gill has been appointed the new Test captain. He will lead India on the England tour, while Pant will act as his deputy.

The Test series will begin on June 20 in Headingley while the rest of the four matches will be played on Manchester, Lord’s Cricket Ground, Edgbaston, and The Oval.
