    Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB Women) secured an 11-run victory in the WPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians on March 11 at Mumbai.

    They went on to defend the 199 runs successfully and secured their third win of the league. Earlier RCB played a valiant innings with stellar knocks from Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh and Georgia Wareham.

    With RCB women knocked out of the tournament, Mumbai Indians will be aiming for a win to get the top position in the WPL 2025 Points table and secure a spot in the finals.

    Batting first,  Sabbhineni Meghana and Smriti Mandhana opened the attack while Shabnim Ismail opened the bowling attack.

    Aiming for a fiery start, openers started aggressively but lost the wicket of power hitter Sabbhineni Meghana who hit 26 runs off 13 deliveries before being dismissed by Hayley Matthews in the 4th over.

    Ellyse Perry joined Mandhana at the crease aiming to post a huge total at scoreboard. They went on to score 53 runs in a powerplay.

    By the end of 10 overs, RCB Women scored 87 runs for a wicket. Smriti Mandhana went on to score 53 runs off 37 deliveries before being dismissed by Amelia Kerr.

    Richa Ghosh who joined Perry at the crease made a stellar knock of 36 runs in the game. The Bengaluru has been making good partnership across wickets despite regular dismissal.

    Ellyse Perry narrowly missed 49 runs off 38 deliveries which included 5 fours and 1 six. Georgia Wareham played an exceptional knock scoring 31 runs off 10 deliveries which included five fours and 1 six at an impressive strike rate of 310.00.

    In the pursuit of chasing 199 runs, Mumbai lose the wickets of openers Hayley Matthews and Amelia Kerr in the powerplay.

    Sneh Rana dismissed Hayley Matthews in the fourth over who slammed 04 fours in her short innings. She strikes once again in the first ball of the sixth over to send back Amelia Kerr for 9 runs.

    However, they went on to score 45 runs in the powerplay. Nat Sciver-Brunt has slammed her 7th WPL fifty in the run chase.

    Nat Sciver-Brunt’s fifty has helped the side to recover from early dismissals despite the required run rate being high. However she was dismissed by Ellyse Perry for 69 runs off 35 deliveries.

    Amanjot Kaur and Sanskriti Gupta contributed 17 and 10 runs while other batters were sent off in single digit score.

    With quick wickets they went on to lose 8 wickets for 167 runs. Sajeevan Sanjana who hit two sixes in the final over kept the hoped alive for Mumbai. However She was dismissed for 23 runs by Perry which ended their winning streak at Brabourne.
