The Wk-batter Richa Ghosh has slammed 36 runs off 22 deliveries before being dismissed by Hayley Matthews in the WPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians played on March 11 at Brabourne Stadium.

She went on to slam 5 fours and 1 sixes in her valiant knock before dismissal in the 18th over.

With RCB knocked out of the tournament, Mumbai Indians will be aiming for a win to get the top position in the WPL 2025 Points table and secure a spot in the finals.

Batting first,  Sabbhineni Meghana and Smriti Mandhana opened the attack while Shabnim Ismail opened the bowling attack.

Aiming for a fiery start, openers started aggressively but lost the wicket of power hitter Sabbhineni Meghana who hit 26 runs off 13 deliveries before being dismissed by Hayley Matthews in the 4th over.

Ellyse Perry joined Mandhana at the crease aiming to post a huge total at scoreboard. By the end of 10 overs, RCB Women scored 87 runs for a wicket. Smriti Mandhana went on to score 53 runs off 37 deliveries before being dismissed by Amelia Kerr.

Richa Ghosh who joined Perry at the crease made a stellar knock in the game. The Bengaluru has been making good partnership across wickets despite regular dismissal.

Speaking at the toss, MI Women Captain Harmanapreet Kaur said, “We gonna bowl first. Chasing is a better option. The last game is an example. Every match we have shown the hunger. It is an important match.”

Meanwhile, RCB Women captain Smriti Mandhana said, “We would have fielded first. If put up a good total, you can do well. The way we started off at the start of the tournament. The injuries didn’t help.”

“We wanted to play our brand of cricket but we couldn’t do that. The way Rana batted. She was fantastic. Renuka had a great season. Perry has batted well. We have three changes.”
