RCB Players Leaving IPL 2024 for T20 World Cup Preparations

RCB Players Leaving IPL 2024: The Men’s T20 World Cup is set to begin by the start of June, and many overseas players are leaving India early to start preparations for the ICC event to be played in the USA and Caribbean.

Out of those IPL franchises, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have a major setback as Will Jacks and Reece Topley flew back to the UK after the side’s victory over Delhi Capitals on Sunday night.

With IPL 2024 edging closer to the playoffs, Royal Challengers Bengaluru bids farewell to their English Players with heartfelt messages.

Will Jacks has been an integral part of the Bengaluru squad as he amassed 230 runs in 8 matches he played with an average of 32.86 and an impressive Strike rate of 175.57. He also added a century and a fifty to his name.

As Will Jacks leaving IPL for international duties, it is evident that RCB is looking for a replacement for the upcoming match against CSK. The outcome of the match will have an impact on RCB’s spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs.

With leaving the gap in the playing 11, Glenn Maxwell, Tom Curran, and Suyash Prabhudessai will be potential candidates to replace Will Jacks.

On the other hand, Reece Topley has lost his place in RCB playing 11 after picking only four wickets in four matches.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru had a poor start in the 2024 campaign as they had only one victory out of 8 matches, but gave an impressive comeback with back-to-back victories in the next five matches.

They won all five matches and advanced to the 6th position in the IPL 2024 points table with 6 victories in hand, increasing their chances for their spot in the Playoffs.

With Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals qualified for playoffs and Mumbai, Gujarat, and Punjab Kings being eliminated, RCB is in a strong position to compete for the playoffs alongside Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow, and Delhi.

Having completed their 13 matches, RCB is set to play their last match of the group stage matches against Chennai Super Kings on May 18 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The T20 World Cup 2024 is set to begin on June 02 in the USA and Caribbean. Although the IPL dates do not coincide with the T20 World Cup dates, the time between the tournaments is very short as players involved in the IPL do not have enough time for the final preparations.

Qualifier 1 will be played on May 21 while the eliminator and Qualifier 2 matches will be played on 22 and 24 respectively.

With the IPL 2024 finals set to be played on May 26 at Chepauk Stadium, only five days will be available before the start of the ICC event, and participating in the National team’s preparations will be difficult for the players.
