The New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra who secured the Player of the Tournament award in the Champions Trophy 2025, has opened on his views over the defeat in the finals.
Ravindra missed the opening game of the Champions Trophy game due to injury, but has come back strongly to smash centuries in the games against Bangladesh and South Africa and emerged as the most run-getter in the tournament.
Kiwis was one of the successful teams in CT 2025 as they made it to the finals. However, the side suffered a four-wicket defeat in the finals against India.
The youngster Rachin Ravindra has impressed and dominated in ICC events and once again proved by emerging as the highest run getter.
New Zealand won the toss and batted first to score 251 runs with fifties from Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell in their innings.

Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav bagged two wickets each while Shami and Jadeja picked one wicket each.
In the pursuit of chasing 251 runs, Rohit Sharma went on to score 76 runs and contributions from Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya helped the side to achieve the ultimate glory.
Speaking at the post match presentation, Ravindra said, “Certainly it is bitter-sweet. We played a good game of cricket. Congratulations to India.”
“It is just that we get to play on good wickets but it is also the work I have done years before. Very proud of my past. Very thankful for everyone who has helped me along the way.”
“I always like to bowl. Santner always gives me a bit of banter that I don’t bowl much in the nets. All members of the squad have a part to play, we just go about our business,” concluded Rachin Ravindra.
