The 29-year-old Bowler Kuldeep Yadav bagged his 50th test wicket in Dharamsala on Day 01 of the fifth test in England’s tour of India 2024.

Kuldeep Yadav has been impressive on day 01 of the fifth test against England where Kuldeep Yadav bagged his 50th test wicket on March 07.

He completed his 50th test wicket before claiming his fourth five-wicket haul in the test format after dismissing England skipper Ben Stokes for a duck.

Kuldeep was jointly the fifth fastest Indian to the milestone levelling with former Indian cricketer Erapalli Prassana who was an off-spinner and ended his career with 189 wickets in 47 tests.

He also became the third left-arm spinner and the first from India to claim more than 50 test wickets. South Africa’s Paul Adams and England’s Johnny Wardle are the other two.

This was Kuldeep’s second match in Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. He played his first match during his debut match against Australia and picked a four-wicket haul.

Batting first, England scored 218 runs where Zak Crawley was the only scorer smashing 79 runs on 108 deliveries including 11 fours and one six. Kuldeep Yadav collapsed the England’s top-order batting line-up.

Duckett, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, and Ben Foakes are the other scorers of the first innings of the fifth test. Kuldeep Yadav bagged five wickets while Ashwin became handy with his fourth test in his 100th test match.

England was sent out with 218 runs on the 58th over of the match. With a trail of 218 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings on day 01 in the fifth test.

Rohit Sharma scored 20 runs while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 6 runs at the time of writing at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.
