The Wk-batter KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have revealed the name of their daughter, Evaarah Vipula Rahul. Athiya announced the name of their daughter via her social media profiles.
Athiya wrote on her Instagram that Evaraah – a word of Sanskrit Origin – meant of God, while her middle name Vipula was given to honour her maternal grandmother (nani), and the final word in her name was after her father, KL Rahul.
Athiya revealed the name of the child on KL Rahul’s birthday on April 18. The batter turned 32 on Friday.
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty welcomed a girl in the first week of the IPL 2025 due to which he was absent for first match of the Delhi Capitals. The duo shared the news on Instagram on March 24.
Back in 2024, the duo had announced their pregnancy in November 2024, just before the BGT 2024-25.
KL Rahul’s career graph has skyrocketed in recent times. KL Rahul was one of the India’s best performers in Australia but was not able to take India over the line against Pat Cummins’ Australian team.
Recently, Suniel Shetty shared that he is completely focused on his fitness to ensure that he can play with his granddaughter without tiring out quickly.
“A lot of kids are doing anabolic steroids and that’s an absolute no, because over a period it will tell you. I’m 60 plus and the only reason I train my abs is to make sure that I walk straight, I don’t hunch, and I don’t drag my feet.”
“Tomorrow I’ll be able to play with my grandchild without having to take a break every two seconds, because the child’s energy is going to be different,” the actor said.
The actor also mentioned that there are things everyone should look forward to. For him, it’s come home to spend time with his wife, Mana Shetty, and his granddaughter, who he describes as his ‘biggest excitement’ in life right now.
KL Rahul has made an impressive season in the ongoing season and the side has secured top position in the IPL 2025 points table with five wins out of six wins.
Delhi Capitals will play their next game against Gujarat Titans on April 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
