Both batters have made most of the three lives due to India’s fielding errors and both went on to score half-centuries. After their emergence, the Men in Blues could not pick any wickets.

Hardik Pandya dropped Hridoy in the 20th over, and two overs later, KL Rahul missed a stumping chance.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s top order was shattered into pieces in the first 10 overs of the match after Najmul Shanto opted to bat first.

Axar Patel removed Tanzid Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim to leave Bangladesh stuttering at 35/5. He made a sensational start to his over in the powerplay of the Champions Trophy 2025.
