Ireland secured a famous 34-run victory in the first T20I against India played at Belfast. They successfully defended 183 run target and pulled out a win against the World Champions at Belfast.
After being invited to bat first, Ireland’s Tim Tector and Ross Adair opened the innings while Arshdeep Singh opened the bowling attack.
Harshit Rana brought the first breakthrough dismissing Ross Adair for 12 runs. His second wicket came after he dismissed Tim Tector for 17 runs.
With Arshdeep Singh bagging the wicket of Harry Tector for duck, Ireland lost three wicket for 30 runs.
With Lorcan Tucker and Benjamin Calitz at crease, Ireland scored 36 runs in the powerplay. Shivam Dube bagged the wicket of Benjamin for 15 runs as Ireland struggled against Indian bowlers.
However, Lorcan Tucker and Gareth Delany forged a 64-run partnership where Tucker smashed his fifty before being dismissed by Harshit Rana.
George Dockrell added 19 runs while other Gareth Delany added 49 runs before his dismissal by Arshdeep Singh.
By the end of 20 overs, Ireland scored 182/9 posting a decent total against Men in Blues.
Harshit Rana bagged three wickets while Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel completed with two wickets each.

Chasing the target, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson opened the innings while, Matthew Humphreys opened the bowling attack.
Jai Moondra bagged the first wicket dismissing Sanju Samson for 5 runs. With Ishan Kishan (1) and Shreyas Iyer (3) dismissal by Matt Hollard, Tilak Varma joined Abhishek Sharma at crease, India scored 68 runs in powerplay.
Abhishek Sharma scored 49 runs before being his dismissed by Liam McCarthy. However, the middle order and lower order did not make up much of contribution.
Shivam Dube (25) and Axar Patel (15) was not enough as the side lost all 10 wickets for 148 runs.
Matthew Hollard and Matthew Humphreys bagged three wickets each while Jai Moondra completed his spell with 2 wickets. Liam McCarthy and Gareth Delany bagged one wicket each.
