With an impressive knock from Shubman Gill, India posted a formidable total of 356 runs at Narendra Modi Stadium.
Shubman Gill smashed 112 runs and decent knocks from Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have boasted India’s total to cross 350+ runs. Batting first, India lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma cheaply in the second over.
But Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli put up a solid partnership of 116 runs for the second wicket. Virat Kohli smashed his 73rd fifty in the match overcoming his batting woes.

After the dismissal of Kohli, Shubman Gill joined hands with Shreyas Iyer to make a 104 run partnership for the 3rd wicket.
Gill went on to score a hundred and continued to score 112 runs in 102 deliveries. However his dismissal foresaw crumble in India’s batting line up.
Shreyas Iyer smashed an impressive 78 run knock off 64 deliveries and further strengthened the attack. The wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul who scored 40 runs off 29 deliveries has further contributed in the match.
Adil Rashid picked four wickets while Mark Wood picked two wickets in the match. Saqib Mahmood, Gus Atkinson and Joe Root has picked one wicket each.
