ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year 2022: ICC awards the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year as an honour awarded each year while the team does not actually compete but exists solely as an honorary entity.

It recognizes the top Women’s cricket players from around the world in spite of the playing nations in the ODI format of the game.

ICC announced the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year 2022 on January 24. Earlier to this ICC announced the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year 2022, ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2022, and ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year 2022.

India’s Harmanpreet Kaur has been named as the captain of the team. Kaur hit two centuries and five half-centuries during the calendar year, with her unbeaten 143* against England in September the obvious highlight. The 33-year-old also chipped in with five valuable wickets with her more than decent off-spin.

Apart from Harmanpreet Kaur, India’s Smriti Mandhana and Renuka Singh have also been named in the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year 2022 list.

Nat Sciver amassed 436 runs for the tournament while hitting two centuries and her unbeaten 148* in the final against Australia almost single-handedly carried her side over the line for what would have been a remarkable victory.

In total Sciver managed 833 ODI runs for the calendar year and the 30-year-old also chipped in with 12 wickets with her more than handy seamers to prove once again how valuable she is to England’s setup.
