England Women has been fined 10 percent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over rate against India during the first T20I where visitors scored 97 runs in Trent Bridge.
Helen Pack of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after England were two overs short after time allowances were taken into consideration.
“In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined five per cent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time,” the ICC said in a statement on Sunday.
England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has accpeted the proposed sanction and hence no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Jacqueline Williams and James Middlebrook, third umpire Sue Redfern and fourth umpire Anna Harris levelled the charge.
The Women in Blues are set to play five match T20I series and three match ODI series in India Women’s tour of England 2025 where the first T20I has been completed with visitors secured comfortable 97 run-victory at Trent Bridge.
Batting first, India went on to score 210 for five in their innings after Smriti Mandhana‘s impressive maiden T20I hundred.
She went on to score 112 runs off 62 deliveries making a solid start for the side.
Chasing the target, England were all out for 113 runs in 14.5 overs with Nallapureddy Charani picked four wicket haul while Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav picked two wickets each.
With India has taken 1-0 lead in the five match T20I series, the second T20I match will be played on July 01 at Seat Unique Stadium, Bristol.
