The Indian sportscaster Harsha Bogie informed that he is suffering from dengue and will be missing commentators box during the highly anticipated World Cup clash against India and Pakistan on Saturday.

Harsha Bogle who was named voice of cricket, took his news on social platform X saying “I am disappointed at having to miss out on #IndiavsPak on the 14th. But I have dengue and the resultant weakness, and lowered immunity, will make it impossible. I am hoping to be back in time for the game on the 19th.

My colleagues, and the broadcast crew, have been very helpful (and took on the extra workload during the second half of #IndiaVsAus) and I look forward to saying thank you to them in person,” Bhogle posted on X.

He thanked his colleagues and the broadcast crew for sharing the workload after he withdrew citing ill health during the second half of the World cup match between India and Australia where India won the match at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

He posted that he is hopeful to return for India’s match against Bangladesh on October 19. India had recently won the match against Afghanistan on Wednesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

Winning the toss Afghanistan chose to bat where Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran opened the innings while Bumrah opened the bowling attack. The openers had a moderate start as Gurbaz scored 21 runs and was dismissed by Hardik Pandya.

Other batters were sent out with low figures by the intense bowling attack from Indian bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed four wickets while Hardik Pandya scalped two wickets. Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav dismissed one wicket each. By the end, Afghanistan scored 272 runs in 50 overs losing 8 wickets.

With a target of 273, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opened the innings while Fazalhaq Farooqi opened the bowling attack. Rohit Sharma had a good start as he scored fifty. India has been playing steadily and increasing their score score.
