Amid the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, the former cricketer Brett Lee has revealed his all-time Asia Cup squad, which includes several Indian stalwarts like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni.
Lee, who represented Australia in 76 tests, 221 ODIs and 25 T20Is during his glittering international career from 1999 to 2012, was asked to reveal his all-time Asian T20I team during his interview on media.
He has picked five Indians and two Pakistani players in the squad – Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah; Mohammad Rizwan and Haris Rauf.
To be Honest, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli aren’t part of India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad as the duo announced their retirement from T20Is following the World Cup in 2024.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have been left out of the Pakistan’s squad as they have gone out of the favour of the selectors in the shortest format of the game owing to their poor form.
“I think he [Rizwan] should definitely get an opportunity to be in that all-time T20I team because of what he’s achieved. Now, the conjecture is over here that he’s not going to play in this series, which is surprising to me,” Lee said about Rizwan.
“Haris Rauf has got the pace and balls at the death,” he said. He also picked further picked three associate nations’ players – Hong Kong’s Babar Hayat and UAE’s Amjad Javed and Mohammad Naveed, alongside cricketers from established nations in Asia.
Hong Kong Babar Hayat has 2269 runs from 97 T20Is, has found in Lee’s all-time squad. Ex-UAE spinner Amjad Javed, Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan, UAE’s Naveed and Pakistan’s Haris Rauf have been also been picked.
