India T20 World Cup 2026 Jersey: The BCCI has unveiled the Indian jersey for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to be played in the month of February.
The kit was revealed after the first innings of the 2nd ODI of the South Africa tour of India 2025. Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma were called during the mid-inning break to unveil the new jersey in the presence of BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and vice-president Rajiv Shukla.
India will wear a mix of Blue and Orange in the World Cup 2026 with the pride national flag embedded around the neck area. The jersey is full of blue with orange present in the under sleeve of the jersey.
Rohit Sharma who led India to a title in 2024 edition of the tournament, has been named as the ambassador of the 2026 T20 World Cup.
“It took us more than 15 years to win the T20 World Cup trophy after winning it in 2007. Now the World Cup will happen in India, and my wishes are always with the team. It’s going to be an exciting tournament. I am sure everyone will be behind the team, supporting them,” said Rohit Sharma.
India’s current T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav is currently in Lucknow, representing Mumbai in SMAT 2025-26 while Shubman Gill is currently at BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru recovering from a neck injury.
The T20 World Cup 2026 will run from February 07 to March 08 featuring 20 teams. India will begin their title defence with the game against USA at Wankhede Stadium on February 07.
India has been placed in Group A along with USA, Namibia, Netherlands and Pakistan. The tournament will then move into the semi-finals before the title clash on March 08, which will be held either in Ahmedabad or Colombo, which is heavily depend on Pakistan’s qualification for finals.
