ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule: The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played between February 07 and March 08, 2025. The tournament is set to be played in India and Sri Lanka, with India set to defend their title.
Initially, Sri Lanka was set to host the entire tournament, but with the expansion of the tournament, it was decided that Sri Lanka would co-host with India.
India will be aiming to defend the title, which it won in the previous edition of the tournament, having defeated South Africa in the finals.
With the tournament drawing near, every participating team has started releasing information on their squads, official jerseys, training kits, support staff, and the ticket booking portals for the global event.
Ahead of the season’s start, the ICC has unveiled the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 ticket booking link with price details for the fans to book their tickets.

A total of 55 matches will be played between 20 teams during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
In addition to the two hosts, the top 7 teams from the previous tournament automatically qualified, as did the next 3 teams in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings. The remaining 8 teams were decided via a regional qualification process.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Format: The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will follow the group stage, Super 8s and knockout stage format.
- The qualified 20 teams will be divided into 4 groups of five teams.
- The top 2 teams in each group will advance to the Super8 round.
- The qualified teams will be categorised into 2 groups of four teams, where the top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage.
- In the knockout stage, a total of 2 semifinals and a final game will be played to decide the winner of the tournament.
