India and Pakistan has met on 14 occasions where India has won on 11 occasions while pakistan won on 3 occasions. Previously, India and Pakistan clashed on group stage games in the Asia Cup where India secured comfortable 7 wicket victory at Dubai.
The IND vs PAK rivalry has added with a controversy as India refused to handshake with the Pakistan players as a due respect to Pahalgam attack victims. This has further added fuel to the upcoming clash in the Super Fours.

India won the toss and opted to bat first. Speaking at the toss, Suryakumar Yadav said, “We’ll bowl first. Looks a nice track and yesterday there was dew. Since first round we were thinking we’re playing a knockout tournament, nothing changes.”
“That was a completely different wicket (in Abu Dhabi). Quite normal, just another game. Bumrah and Varun come back for Arshdeep and Harshit,” concluded SKY.
Meanwhile Salman Agha said, “Would’ve bowled first as well. It’s a new game, new challenge. The mood is very normal. Pitch looks to be on the slower side. Want to start well with both bat and ball. Two changes. Hasan Nawaz and Khushdil Shah not playing.”
