CSK Captain in IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings who won IPL titles five times have failed to qualify for the playoffs last season as they managed to win only seven games out of the 14 league matches.
Though RCB and CSK shared the same match wins, the NRR gave a boost to CSK’s rival team an edge and pushed them into the playoffs. CSK won the IPL titles in the 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023 seasons.
CSK Captain in IPL 2025
With a mega auction planned for the 2025 season, CSK decided to stick with their previous captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad. Chennai Super Kings named Ruturaj Gaikwad the team’s captain ahead of the IPL 2024 season.
In the 2024 season, Ruturaj Gaikwad led Chennai Super Kings in 14 games and won seven games but failed to lead the team into the playoffs round.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is the captain of Chennai Super Kings for the IPL 2025 season while Ravindra Jadeja will be the vice-captain of the team.

IPL 2025
As per IPL 2025 schedule the first match will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on 22 March 2025 in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to be played between 21 March and 25 May 2025 in India. IPL teams will be categorised into two groups of five teams where a total of 70 group matches will be played before the playoff round.
The IPL 2025 will follow a Group stage and Playoffs format with the top four teams in the IPL 2025 points table advancing to the playoffs round.
Right before the tournament, as expected, the IPL 2025 withdrawal players list starts to fill while the respective team will name the replacement players for the IPL 2025 season.
