A franchise official confirmed that the team is looking to have him back in the next season.
“He will be with us. There are no plans to part with him,” a top CSK management official told Mumbai Mirror.
The official was reacting after Raina’s arrest in Mumbai for breaking the night curfew but was later released on bail. “We have only read about the arrest. Our plans have nothing to do with that development. He will continue to be with us,” the franchise official said.
Reason for Raina’s withdrawal from IPL 2020
As an unexpected move “China Thala” Suresh Raina withdraws from IPL 2020 owing to his “personal reasons”. Though later he confirms the reason many believed his ouster was due to disciplinary grounds.
Without Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni led CSK for the first time in IPL history failed to enter the IPL 2021 play-off. Where the men in yellow received many criticisms for being not able to prove their consistency.
