    2011 – NatWest Series (India in England): Following a whitewash in the longest format and a defeat in the only T20I match, the Indian cricket team was expected to register a victory in the followed ODI series. But the hosts won the five-match ODI series by 3-0 after the first and fourth matches ended in “no result” and a “tie” respectively.

    The defeat marks a complete whitewash for the Indian side in their England tour in 2011. India hasn’t registered a single victory in this tour and returned home heartbroken.

    2011/12 – England in India ODI Series: Indian cricket who trashed with back-to-back defeats in the away condition against England, managed to pull up a five-match ODI series victory in the home condition. MS Dhoni and Co. completely dominated the England side by whitewashing the visitors.

    2018 – India in England T20I Series: India won the three-match T20I series 2-1 by winning the final match of the series by seven wickets. Rohit Sharma with his unbeaten hundred played a vital role in India’s series victory in the T20I format of the tour.

    2018 – India in England ODI Series: India won the first match of the series and made a decent start but the hosts won the remaining two games and went on to win the series by 2-1. This was also the first defeat for India in a bilateral series under Virat Kohli’s captaincy.

    2018 – Pataudi Trophy (India in England): England who remained dominant in the home condition, once again defeated India in the five-match test series by 4-1 and retained the trophy.

    2020/21 – Anthony de Mello Trophy (England in India): Though India lost the first match of the series by a whopping 227 runs difference, Virat Kohli and Co. bounced back in the remaining three tests and won the four-match test series by 3-1.

    2020/21 – England in India T20I Series: As of the test series of the tour, India lost the first game and emerged victorious by winning the final two games of the series. Virat Kohli remained the leading run-scorer of the series and moreover, the right-hander is the only batter to score more than 200 runs in the five-match T20I series.

    2020/21 – England in India ODI Series: India won the first game of the series and took the lead in the three-match series. England on the other hand won the second game and levelled the series. With Shardul Thakur’s four-wicket haul, India won the final match and emerged victorious.

    2021/2022 – Pataudi Trophy (India in England): India who never won the Pataudi Trophy since 2007 was on the verge of winning it back in 2021/22 but England won the final match of the series and concluded it as drawn.

    India took a lead in the series by pulling out a thrilling victory in the second test at Lord’s. KL Rahul’s century in the first inning laid a strong foundation for the visitors while Siraj and Bumrah’s supremacy in the second inning gave them a 151-run victory.

    Quite the opposite, England won the third game of the series by an innings and 76 runs. India bounced back and won the fourth test by 157 runs and levelled the series. The final test of the series was postponed to July 2022 following the COVID-19 outbreak in the Indian camp.

    In the rescheduled match, England made history by chasing down a target of 378 runs, the highest successful chase in England’s Test history and clinched the series victory for England.

    2022 – India in England T20I Series: The 2022 series marked the first tour of England for Rohit Sharma as the captain. Under his captaincy, India won the three-match ODI series by 2-1. Despite a century from Suryakumar Yadav, England won the third T20I by 17 runs and avoided a whitewash.

    2022 – India in England ODI Series: With Jasprit Bumrah‘s impressive six-wicket haul, India won the first match of the series by 10 wickets while England won the second by 100 runs and levelled the series. India who used to handle critical situations with ease, defeated the hosts in the 3rd ODI by five wickets and won the series by 2-1, with Rishabh Pant scoring his first century in ODI cricket
