ODI World 2023 Official Song: ICC will organize the World Class event once every four years with preliminary qualification rounds leading up to a finals tournament. The tournament is considered the “Flagship event of the international cricket calendar” by the ICC.

The first edition of the tournament was played in 1975 where West Indies won the title by beating Australia by 17 runs in a 60-over match. England won the last edition of the tournament by defeating New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup final game.

Shloke Lal and Saaveri Verma wrote the lyrics for ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 Anthem while Pritam, Nakash Aziz, Sreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra, Jonita Gandhi,  AKASA, and Charan sang the song. Check out the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 Anthem below:

At the anthem launch, Ranveer Singh expressed his gratitude for having the privilege of delivering the song to the cricket world.

“Being part of this anthem launch for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is truly an honour. It’s a celebration of the sport we all love.”

Pritam shared the sentiments of his colleague, highlighting the urge to bring fans across the world a piece of India and its cricket through song.

“Cricket is India’s greatest passion and composing ‘Dil Jashn Bole’ for the biggest World Cup ever, has been a tremendous honour for me. This song is not just for 1.4 billion Indian fans but for the whole world to come to India and be a part of the biggest celebration ever.”

Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be played from 9 February to 26 March 2023. But, in July 2020, it was announced that the tournament would be delayed to an October–November window, following the disruption of the qualification schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will be the first time the competition is held entirely in India; three previous editions were partially hosted there – 1987, 1996, and 2011.

ICC World Cup 2023 has been scheduled to host by 10 stadiums across 10 different cities in India.

Ahead of the tournament, BCCI decided to grant INR 50 crores for each World Cup hosting stadium to upgrade its infrastructure. Earlier, ICC announced the World Cup 2023 rules and format for group and knock-out stage games.
