Sunrisers Eastern Cape Squad: The 2016 IPL title winner Sunrisers Hyderabad named their SA20 league team as Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
As per the league’s rules, each of the six franchises will get to pre-sign five players – three overseas, one South African international player, and one uncapped South African player – prior to the auction. Also, the maximum permissible limit of players in each of the team squads is 17 players each.

South Africa’s Aiden Markram also represented SRH in the IPL 2022 season and scored 381 runs in 14 matches at an average of 47.63. He scored three half-centuries for his side, with the best individual score of 68*.

Since his IPL debut, Aiden Markram have played 20 matches and scored 527 runs at an average of 40.54. On the other hand, Ottniel Baartman made his first-class debut for South Western Districts in the 2014–15 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 22 January 2015.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Wild Card Players:
Sunrisers Eastern Cape had picked Jordan Hermann as their Wildcard pick who went unsold in the SA20 league Auction. The signing amount has not been disclosed but Hermann, a left-handed batter, had put a base price of R 175,000 for the Cape Town auction.
“Players will come in at a minimum base fee of R175 000, with Franchises using their discretion to select the calibre of players to bolster their squads, which will move from a playing personnel of 17 to 18. Players who were not registered for the auction are eligible for selection.” according to a press release.
“The wild card offers our teams an opportunity to add another world-class player to their squad,” league commissioner Graeme Smith said.
