The Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue to represent Mumbai in domestic cricket after withdrawing his NOC request to move to Goa.
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has accepted his request to cancel the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) issues for his proposed move to the Goa domestic team.
MCA president Ajinkya Naik confirmed the development to have the young opener remain with Mumbai.
“Yashasvi has always been a proud product of Mumbai cricket. We have accepted his application to withdraw the NOC, and he will be available to represent Mumbai in the upcoming domestic season,” said Naik.
Earlier in April, Yashasvi Jaiswal had requested to play for Goa as it was rumoured that Jaiswal was eyeing on the captaincy role, after the Goa Cricket Association chief publicly stated that the India opener would lead the team if he make the move.

However, in May Jaiswal informed the MCA about his decision to stay linked up with Mumbai and requested that his NOC be revoked.
Jaiswal explained that his intention to move was due to his family’s plan to relocate to Goa.
“I, the undersigned, would like to request your good self to consider my application to withdraw the NOC that had been issued to me, as my family’s intended relocation to Goa has, for now, been curtailed,” Jaiswal wrote.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who originally from Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh, moved to Mumbai at very young age, making his FC debut for the city in 2019.
He featured in the U19 World Cup for India and after making an significant impact with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, he earned his maiden Test Cap for India in 2023.
Since then, he has been regular opener for the Men in Blues in Test format. With Jaiswal has confirmed to stay with Mumbai, Prithvi Shaw is expected to depart ahead of the 2025-26 domestic season.
Prithvi Shaw has requested for an NOC earlier this month to join another domestic side, which the MCA has approved.
