The SLC has named Jeffrey Vandersay in the Sri Lanka squad for the two-match ODI series against Australia starting on February 12.
It is noted that the 16-member squad is largely unchanged from the one that toured New Zealand in January. Chamindu Wickramasinghe has been left out and it was decided that the home conditions favour spin bowlers.

Charith Asalanka will continue to lead the team which has a strong line up with the players Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamindu Mendis and Avishka Fernando.
Apart from Vandersay, Sri Lanka has young spinner Nuwanidu Fernando as the likes of Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana and Dunith Wellalage part of spin department.
Meanwhile Aussies comes into the ODIs with pat Cummins, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Hazlewood ruled out of the ODI series and Champions trophy 2025. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis also announced his retirement from the ODI format
The ODI series onf the Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka will be played on February 12 and 14 and the matches will be played in Colombo.
