    Smriti Mandhana Slams 3rd WPL Fifty Against Delhi Capitals

    The RCB bowler Smriti Mandhana has slammed a fifty during the WPL 2025 clash against Delhi Capitals played on February 17 at Kotambi Stadium.

    She went on to score fifty in 27 balls which included 8 fours and six. This was her first fifty in the 2025 season. Mandhana who played 19 matches before the Delhi Capitals clash and secured 458 runs in the tournament with a strike rate of 125.47.

    After scoring 57 runs in the powerplay, Smriti and Danni Wyatt went on to a 107-run partnership. However, Delhi Capitals managed to get a breakthrough with Arundhati dismissing Danni Wyatt for 42 runs.

    After putting to bat first, Delhi lost the wicket of the opener Shafali Verma for a golden duck. They regained balance in the match with 55 runs in the powerplay. Meg Lanning and Jemimah Rodrigues forged a 59-run partnership for the second wicket.

    With the dismissal of Rodrigues for 34 runs, Delhi lost wickets at regular intervals. Lanning and Sutherland were dismissed for 17 and 19 respectively while Marizanne Kapp scored 12 runs before dismissed by Ekta Bisht.

    By the end of the 14th over, DC women lost 6 wickets for 106 runs. Ekta Bisht went on to pick the wicket of Jess Jonasses for 1 run leaving Sarah Bryce and Shikha Pandey in the field.

    Bryce scored 23 runs before being dismissed by Georgia Wareham while Shikha Pandey scored 14 runs.

    With the last minute contributions from Arundhati Reddy and Minnu Mani Delhi Capitals posted 141 runs in their innings.

    RCB bowlers, led by Renuka Singh and Georgia Wareham put up an excellent performance to bowl out Delhi for 141 runs in 19.3 runs.
