Speaking of the game, England won the toss and opted to bat first where Philip Salt and Ben Duckett opened the inning. The duo laid a decent foundation and added 75 runs for the first wicket.
While the England opening batters looked comfortable with the bat, Philip Salt lost his wicket via run out and walked to the pavilion after scoring 43 runs off 26 balls.
Following his dismissal, Ben Duckett lost his wicket in the very next over after scoring 32 runs. In the same over bowled by Harshit Rana, Harry Brook lost his wicket without scoring runs.
Following two quick wickets, England started to feel the pressure. England skipper Jos Buttler and Joe Root were expected to build a massive partnership to save the sinking ship.

While India was looked comfortable with their bowling attack, Buttler and Jacob Bethell made a stand and threatened the Indian bowling lineup. The duo added 59 runs for the next wicket.
Axar Patel broke the threatening partnership by dismissing Buittler for 52 runs. Right after his dismissal, England started to lose wickets in a regular intervals. With Jofra Archer’s 21 off 18 deliveries, England scored 248 runs after losing all 10 wickets in 47.4 overs.
