Mohammed Shami who marked his return to the ICC tournaments after his heroics in the 2023 ODI World Cup dismissed Mehidy Hasan Miraz cheaply and picked his second wicket against Bangladesh.
Shami, who sent home Soumya Sarkar for a duck, dismissed Mehidy for 5 runs in the 6th over of the match to trouble Bangladesh, who were aiming to build a partnership to revive the side in the second match of the Champions Trophy 2025.
The Tigers who decided to bat first, lost two wickets for 2 runs before the end of the second over which put the Tigers in trouble.
