The PSL franchise Multan Sultans suffers a major blow ahead of the 2024 edition, as Reece Topley has been ruled out of the entire season. The pacer was sidelined due to an injury that has not yet been disclosed but was informed that he will be not able to take part in the entire league.
English Pacer who played for Durban Super Giants in the recently completed SA20 2024 has picked up 13 wickets in 12 matches with an economy rate of 8.44.
He has played 29 ODIs and 25 T20Is and awaits to make his test debut. Reece Topley was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 1.90 Crore during the IPL 2023 auction. He was retained by the franchise before the IPL 2024 auction.
It is anticipated whether the player will be available for the upcoming IPL season. Multan Sultans were the runners of the PSL 2023 after suffering a defeat against Lahore Qalandars in the finals.
The first match of the PSL 2024 schedule will be played between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United on February 17 at Gaddafi Stadium.
