The IPL 2025 clash RCB vs SRH has been moved from Lucknow to Bengaluru due to weather conditions, with Bengaluru experiencing heavy rainfall.

Rain has been a spoilsport in Bengaluru last week as RCB’s previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

RCB did not have a chance to train as they have been confined indoors due to rains and thunderstorms that have ravaged the city over the last few games.

The shift means the Lucknow Super Giants will play their final group stage match at home on May 27.

Pat Cummins-led side was supposed to travel to Bengaluru for their upcoming fixture, but have reportedly been advised to stay in Lucknow for the RCB clash.

IPL made this late change due to a yellow alert issued by the meteorological department in Bengaluru that has predicted “heavy to very heavy rainfall” in the city until Thursday.

On the other hand, BCCI has finalised New Chandigarh and Ahmedabad as the venues for IPL 2025 playoffs, as the schedule was revised after a week suspension due cross border tensions between India and Pakistan.

After the IPL resumption, several reports suggested that BCCI might be consider on changing the venues for the playoffs because of the predicted rain threat in Kolkata.

It is learnt that Mullanpur will be hosting the Qualifier 01 on May 29 and the eliminator on May 30. Meanwhile, the the playoff 02 and the finals will be played on June 01 and June 03 respectively.

With Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers and Punjab Kings secured a spot in the playoffs and Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders knocked out of the tournament, the race for the final playoff spot will be between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Captials.
