Ramiz Raja Proposes 4 Nation T20I Series Including India and Pakistan

Newly-appointed PCB chief Ramiz Raja said that he is going to make a proposal to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to hold a four-nation T20I series including arch-rivals India and Pakistan.

The other two teams will be T20 World Cup winner Australia and 50 overs champions England.

“Hello, fans.Will propose to the ICC a Four Nations T20i Super Series involving Pak Ind Aus Eng to be played every year, to be hosted on a rotation basis by these four. A separate revenue model with profits to be shared on a percentage basis with all ICC members think we have a winner,” Raja wrote.

Usman Khawaja Reacts

Meanwhile, Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja, who was born in Pakistan revealed that he has enjoyed great support whenever he has visited Pakistan. Khawaja also expressed his eagerness to play cricket on Pakistan soil as well.

“I’ve always had great support in the subcontinent, Bangladesh, India, and particularly Pakistan where I was born. They were amazing even when I was there for the PSL. I would like to go back there and play. It is not that far away but it seems far. Even if I go there on tour, it will be amazing,” said Usman Khawaja according to Fox Cricket.

Also, the chief of the Australian Cricket Association (ACA), Todd Greenberg has said that he will also go with the Aussie players to Pakistan. Greenberg stated that he wants to showcase to the players that he is with the Australian side in this regard.

“I’ve made an assurance to the players that they won’t go alone. If they’re going to Pakistan, I’ll be going with them and I think that’s important. It’s an opportunity to show the players that we’re in this together,” said Greenberg as quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald.

Australia will tour Pakistan to play 3 match test series and as many as ODI match series, and one T20I match which begins from March 3, 2022.
