With the Super 8s stages nearing the interesting phase, the upcoming ENG vs NZ clash in Group 2 will confirm their third semi-finalists of the T20 World Cup 2026 after England and South Africa have qualified for the knockouts in the respective groups.

Pakistan Qualification Scenario After ENG vs NZ
If kiwis win today they will be qualified for semifinals and Pakistan will be knocked out of the tournament.
Speaking on the possibilities of the Pakistan qualification, if Harry Brook’s side defeat Mitchell Santner’s side and Pakistan defeats Sri Lanka, both Blackcaps and Men in Greens will end up with same points.
Hence, they have to win with a higher margin to boost up NRR as the team with best run rate will qualify for the semi finals.
If the clash between England and New Zealand get washed out, then Pakistan will be out of the tournament as New Zealand will jump to four points and even with a win against Sri Lanka, Salman Agha’s side will be still short of points.
