The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played between February 07 and March 08, 2025. The tournament is set to be played in India and Sri Lanka, with India set to defend their title.
Initially, Sri Lanka was set to host the entire tournament, but with the expansion of the tournament, it was decided that Sri Lanka would co-host with India.

As per the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 schedule, the first match will be played between Pakistan and Netherlands on February 07 at Sinhalese Cricket Club, Colombo.

A total of 20 teams has been divided into four groups, with the top 7 teams from the previous tournament automatically qualified, as did the next 3 teams in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings. The remaining 8 teams were decided via a regional qualification process.
