Nepal has been named as hosts for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 qualifier, which is scheduled to take place from January 12 to February 16 next year.
Ten teams will compete for four spots at the main event, which is set to be held in England and Wales later that year.
Bangladesh and Ireland have secured a direct entry into the qualifier after their participation in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Thailand and Nepal earned their places through the Asia regional pathway, while the USA qualified from the Americas region.

Meanwhile the five remaining berths will be decided through regional qualifiers with two teams from Africa and Europe and one from the East Asia-Pacific region joining the lineup.
The tournament in Nepal will feature two groups of five teams, which follows by a Super Six Stage and a finals. The complete fixture list will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, the schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has already been confirmed.
The tournament will run between from June 12 to July 5, 2026 featuring 33 matches across 24 days at seven venues, including Old Trafford, Headingley, the Hampshire Bowl, and the Bristol County Ground.
The finals will be staged at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground offering a fitting climax to the biggest event in women’s T20 cricket.
