    ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: The tenth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played between 12 teams for the first time. England holds the rights to host the upcoming edition of the tournament.

    The Biennial Twenty20 International (T20I) tournament has a set of teams that qualify automatically, with the remaining teams determined by the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.

    Australia is the most successful team, having won six titles, while England (2009), West Indies (2016), and New Zealand (2024) have each won one title. New Zealand were the champions of the tournament in the previous edition after defeating South Africa in the Finals.

    Ahead of the season’s start, the ICC has unveiled the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 ticket booking link with price details for the fans to book their tickets.

    ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: A total of 33 matches will be played between 12 teams in the tournament to determine the winner. Notably, 10 teams played in the previous edition of the tournament.

    In addition to the hosts, a total of eight teams have automatically qualified for the tournament through the Women’s T20I Team Rankings, while the remaining four teams will be qualified by the regional qualifiers. Teams have been divided into two groups.

    ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Format

    The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will follow the group stage and knockout stage format.

    • A total of 12 teams will be divided into two groups and will participate in group-stage matches.
    • They will be competing with each other within the group, and the two top teams from each group will be advancing to the knockout stages.
    • In the knockout stage, a total of 2 semifinals and a final game will be played to decide the winner of the tournament.

    ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualification Process

    Being the host nation, England has qualified automatically, while five teams – Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies have qualified for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup (top five teams).

    Meanwhile, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have been qualified by ICC Women’s T20I Team Rankings. The other four teams will be qualified by the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup qualifiers.
