Mohammad Rizwan’s solid 85-run knock has propelled the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to victory in the CPL 2025 game against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
With this win, the Patriots secured their third victory and now sit in fifth position on the CPL 2025 points table.
Andre Fletcher and Mohammad Rizwan’s opened the innings for Patriots while Pretorius opened the bowling attack.
Despite the dismissals of Fletcher, Mayers and Boucher for single digit scores as the side lost three wickets for 26 runs within the powerplay. With Rizwan and Rossouw at the crease, St Nevis and Patriots scored 34 runs in the powerplay.
Rossouw scored 14 runs while Holder scored 7 runs before being dismissed Motie and Hassan Khan.
Meanwhile, Rizwan went on to score 85 runs before being dismissed on a run out. With Navian Bidaisee unbeaten 22 runs helped the side to post 149 runs in their 20 over innings.
In the pursuit of chasing 150 runs, Ben McDermott and Moeen Ali opened the innings while Jason Holder opened the bowling attack.

With the dismissal of Moeen Ali for 19, Guyana Amazon Warriors scored 41 runs in the powerplay.
McDermott scored 21 runs while Shimron Hetmyer scored 9 runs before being dismissed by Nedd and Naseem Shah.
After the dismissal of Hope for 31 runs, the side suffered with regular dismissals as the side scored only 144 runs by the end of 20 overs.
Naseem Shah and Waqar Salamkheil picked two wickets each while Jason Holder, Nedd, Navian Bidaisee and Dominic Drakes picked one wickets each.
Mohammad Rizwan was named the Player of the Match. Speaking on the post match conference, Rizwan said, “When I finished my innings, it felt like we were 10 runs behind. The score was par for this surface, But we had to account for the dew. Credit to our bowlers for the way we bowled.”
“We lost 3 wickets in the powerplay. And then we had to build that innings. I had to attack after the powerplay. I always prefer opening but I am always available to play in all positions for the team. At the end, it is the captain and coach’s decision,” Mohammad Rizwan concluded.
St Kitts and Nevis patriots’ qualification to playoffs heavily depend upon the other games results in the tournament.
