Meg Lanning smashed her 7th WPL fifty to power up the run chase in the match against UP Warriorz on February 19 at Kotambi Stadium.
She went on to score fifty in 34 balls which included 9 fours. Her incredible knock powered up Delhi’s 166-run chase in the WPL 2025 clash against Deepti Sharma’s side.
Before the match, Meg Lanning played 20 WPL matches and had 708 runs at an average of 39.33 and a strike rate of 127.56.
Shafali Verma was dismissed by Deepti Sharma for 26 runs while Jemimah Rodrigues sent out for duck. However, Annabel Sutherland joined Lanning aiming for a victory in the match.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bowl first. Warriorz had a solid start with Kiran Navgire and Vrinda Dinesh scoring 66 runs for the first wicket which was their powerplay score.
Vrinda lost her wicket to Annabel Sutherland for 16 runs while Kiran went on to score 51 runs off 27 deliveries.
She achieved the feat in 24 balls after opening with Vrinda Dinesh in the 6th WPL 2025 match. Her fifty included 6 fours and 3 boundaries with a strike rate of 188.89.
Kiran Navgire’s partnership with Vrinda made 66 runs for the first wicket and it was their score by the end of powerplay. Having played 19 matches Kiran has 331 runs in 18 innings at an average of 18.38 and a strike rate of 135.10.
After Deepti Sharma and Tahlia McGrath were dismissed cheaply for 7 and 1, Shweta Sehrawat and Chinelle Henry scored 37 and 33 runs which helped the side to cross 150+ runs. By the end of 20 overs, UP Warriorz lost seven wickets to score 166 runs.
