    ICC Women’s Player of the Month November 2023 Nominees

    The International Cricket Council has announced the ICC Women’s Player of the Month November 2023 nominees list which includes two players from Bangladesh and one player from Pakistan.

    ICC Women’s Player of the Month November 2023 Nominees

    The candidates selected as the nominees of the August 2023 Women’s Player of the Month are Nahida Akter (Bangladesh), Fargana Hoque (Bangladesh), and Sadia Iqbal (Pakistan).

    Nahida Akter (Bangladesh)

    The Bangladesh spinner had impressive stats during their side’s historic win against Pakistan in October month and then continued to impress the fans in the ODI series where their side won the series 2-1.

    She whooped seven wickets during the series with an average of 14.14. Akter was named as the Player of the Series. During the first ODI, Bangladesh was folded for 81 runs. She dismissed three wickets for 30 runs, but Pakistan won the match by 5 wickets.

    During the second ODI match, She broke the crucial partnership of Diana Baig and Najiha Alvi where the match ended in a tie. Nahida bowled the super over where she picked two wickets for seven runs. Their side won the match.

    Nahida picked 3 wickets for 26 runs during their 3rd ODI match and helped the side to win in the 47th over.

    Faragana Hoque (Bangladesh)

    The top-order batter was impressive during their Pakistan tour and was the leading run-scorer in ODIs.Hoque scored 110 runs with an average of 36.66 and with a high score of 62.

    She was dismissed for eight runs during the first ODI where their side was all for 81. In the second match, she scored 40 and helped the side tow in the super over.

    During the third ODI match, she scored 62 runs and helped to score 125 runs for the first wicket. Bangladesh recorded for scoring a hundred for the first wicket and their side won the match by seven wickets.

    Sadia Iqbal (Pakistan)

    Pakistan Spinner Sadia Iqbal was one of the most impressive during Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh. She whooped their bowlers taking six wickets at an average of 12.5 and an economy of 2.58.

    She was impressive during the first ODI match against Bangladesh picking a career-best return of 4/13. Along with Nida Dar and Iqbal, they folded the Bangladesh for 81 runs.

    She picked two wickets in the second ODI and conceded 32 runs in her quota of overs. In the final ODI, she went wicketless but gave away only 30 runs from her 10 overs.

    Player of the Month voting process

    The Nominees from either category are shortlisted based on their performance by the last day of the month. The Candidates are shortlisted and voted by the ICC Voting Academy and fans around the World.

    The ICC Voting Academy consists of well-known journalists, former players, and ICC Hall of Fame members. They submit their votes by email which becomes 90% of the voting members.

    The fans who are registered with ICC can also vote via the ICC website through icc-cricket.com/awards, which gives the remaining 10 percent. Winners will be announced every second Monday of the month.
