Punjab Kings will take on Mumbai Indians at the MCA Stadium, Pune in order to bounce back from their loss against IPL 2022 debutants Gujarat Titans in the previous match.

After returning from injury, Suryakumar Yadav (120) has scored two half centuries in the two games he’s played so far for Mumbai Indians, and is one of their key batters.

Chahar has taken 4 wickets so far this season for PBKS, which includes big names like MS Dhoni and Shreyas Iyer, with an economy rate of 6.31, which is the lowest among the top 10 so far in the tournament. CHECK: IPL 2022 Leading Wicket-takers with economy rate

“I will definitely try to give my hundred percent as always. Mainly, there are two or three batters who are challenging to bowl against that I have my eye on. Suryakumar Yadav, for instance, is in great form. Rohit, too, is a top batter,” Chahar said in an exclusive interview with Punjab Kings.

Rahul Chahar said that he has made specific plans for MI batters and is looking forward to facing them at the MCA.

“I am preparing well for them and looking forward to bowling to them,” a thrilled Chahar said. “I am also making specific plans for all of these guys, let’s see how it goes,” Chahar added.

Rahul Chahar said that he has been used to playing against his brother (Deepak Chahar) since childhood, so facing his former side won’t be a problem for him, and he’s just focused on getting a result for his team.

“From childhood, I have played against my brother. It doesn’t matter if he is in front of me or anybody else. My job is to make my team win, and I will do whatever it takes to get that result,” Chahar said.

“As a player, when you step onto the field, it does not matter who is playing against you. I just want to perform my best every single game, and this does not change anything about it,” he added.

Mayank Aggarwal and his men have won two and lost two matches so far in the tournament.

Rohit Sharma’s men, on the other hand, will be looking for their first win of the tournament after losing their opening four games, sitting at the bottom of the IPL 2022 points table after CSK beat RCB on Tuesday.
