The Mumbai Indians batter Harmanpreet Kaur has slammed the 7th fifty in the Women’s Premier League during the WPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Giants on March 10 at Brabourne Stadium.
She went on to slam her half-century in 31 deliveries which included 8 fours. In 23 WPL matches, She has 675 runs at an average of 39.70 and a strike rate of 138.88. Her highest score of 95* comes against the same opponents.
Her aggressive batting during the match aimed to post a huge total for Gujarat.
Batting first, Hayley Matthews and Amelia Kerr opened the innings while Deandra Dottin opened the bowling attack. However, Kerr was sent out on a run out for 5 runs in the third over.
Joining Matthews, Nat Sciver Brunt helped the side score 44 runs in the powerplay. Priya Mishra who bowled the first over after powerplay went on to dismiss Matthews on the last ball of the over.

Harmanpreet Kaur who joined Sciver at the crease, went on to attack GG bowlers to recover the side and cross 100+ runs in the board.
However Ash Gardner break the partnership dismissing Nat Sciver-Brunt for 38 runs. Amajot Kaur who came to bat, made an impressive 27 runs off 15 deliveries with 3 fours and one six.
Meanwhile Harmanpreet Kaur scored 54 runs off 33 deliveries before being dismissed by Tanuja Kanwar.
With both Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants qualified for the playoffs, both sides will be aiming to gain the advantage in the WPL 2025 points table.
Earlier, Gujarat Giants won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, GG Women’s captain Ashleigh Gardner said, “We are going to bowl, it’s a fresh surface. Expecting a good wicket, let’s see what happens in the first innings.”
“Taking a lot of positives from the last few games, nice to be winning games. It’s really pleasing, excited for the future. The balance of the team is all-rounded. We have one change. We are playing some good cricket, hopefully tonight we can beat MI.”
Meanwhile Mumbai Indians Women’s Captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, “We have been waiting for this moment. Happy to be back here, looking forward to playing here.”
“This week is important for us, hopefully we will play our best cricket. For us it’s important to stay in the moment. Need to see how the pitch is behaving, will set the total accordingly.”
