The PCB announced on Thursday that the 19-year-old Farhan Yousuf will be leading the Pakistan U19 World Cup 2026 squad, who is currently leading the squad in the ongoing U19 Asia Cup 2025 at Abu Dhabi.
The Men in Green have retained most of the players from the Asia Cup squad, except Mohammad Huzaifa, who has been replaced by fast bowler Umar Zaib in the setup.
Ahead of the ICC tournament, Pakistan will be playing in a tri-series featuring Pakistan and Zimbabwe, which will be played from 25 December to 6 January.
Meanwhile, Usman Khan will play as he deputy during the marquee tournament. Sameer Minhas, who made a 177-run knock during the match against Malaysia, will be the spearhead of the batting lineup.
Meanwhile, Ali Raza will lead the pace attack with Mohammad Sayyam, with Abdul Subhan, Daniyal Khan and Huzaifa Ahsan filling the remaining slots.
Hamza Zahoor and Mohammad Shayan will be the wicketkeepers. At the same time, Abdul Qadir, Farhanullah, Hassan Khan, Ibtisam Azhar and Mohammad Huzaifa have been included in the Pakistan U19 World Cup 2026 squad as the non-travelling reserves.
As per the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 schedule, the first match will be played between the USA and India on January 15 at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.
With less than a month available before the start of the marquee event, teams have started announcing their U19 World Cup 2026 squad, which includes South Africa, Ireland, West Indies and Australia.
Placed in Group B along with England, Scotland and Zimbabwe, Pakistan will play their opener match against England on January 16 at Takashinga Sports Club, Harare.
They will also clash against Scotland and Zimbabwe in the group B games of the competition.
