Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman sustained an injury while chasing the ball in the very first over of the Champions Trophy 2025 at Karachi.
The incident took place during the second delivery of the first inning. Will Young who was at the striker’s end drives it through extra cover while Fakhar Zaman chased it to prevent the boundary.
Unfortunately, while chasing the ball, Fakhar Zaman sustained an injury and walked off the field where Kamran Ghulam took his place in the field.

Winning the toss, Pakistan decided to bowl first where Devon Conway and Will Young opened the inning for New Zealand. Pakistan star pacer Shaheen Afridi opened the bowling attack.
